We received 2 defective toasters in a row, which initially leads me to believe that the product is defective. The first one looked good and worked great throughout the day. We found it odd that it took 8 minutes to adequately toast the bread on the toast setting, but it seemed to bake well. Then, the second time the fryer was used, the fan made a horrible metallic screech when it started up, which could be heard throughout the house. After 15 seconds, the fan shut off, so there was no air convection while frying. If you start the process again, the grinding noise will repeat itself. After a few times the fan stopped working. Since there was no place in our area to fix it, we decided to have Revain replace it. The next block comes and this one starts burning our food. On the first day we cooked 3 different dishes in it using the presets to suit the recipe and the food started burning around the edges within minutes even with the pan as far away from active burners as possible. Also, the presets are tricky to navigate, especially since the manual doesn't refer to what the A01-A13 fryer settings mean - while that's not a deal breaker, it would be far better to have more custom settings to let you choose burners. Preheat, temperature, convection, and time instead of all those fixed presets that don't even work. Then, again on the second day, the fan started making the same horrible rattle all over again. The oven sits on a flat worktop with gaps on all sides and we have treated it carefully so I don't know what could be causing this. We will return the second oven without purchasing a replacement. Well, maybe we accidentally got two ovens in a row with the same flaws. You might also be thinking, hey, these guys might just be bad at knowing how to use a toaster properly. However, actually I think there is something wrong with the way they make them. I would really consider buying another device from another company. Now you have been warned.
