Received this lens just a few hours ago. I use it with A7rii and am really impressed so far. The autofocus is MUCH better than Sony's 50 f1.8. The autofocus is also slightly faster than on this lens, which surprised me. Manual focus is smooth. I've read some complaints about other lenses from other manufacturers, like the Rokinon, with delayed manual focus rings with a lot of play, but that's not the case here. I'd say there's a bit of chromatic aberration in very bright, high-contrast environments, but it's pretty manageable in post. I also noticed that at f2.8 the images are a bit washed out, especially around the edges, but they're still usable. But somewhere between f3.5-10 and sharpness increases. It does have some issues with fast, accurate autofocus in low light compared to the Sony 50mm f1.8, but then again it's an f2.8 lens you don't buy for excellent low-light performance. So for clear night shots, you'll probably need to fine-tune the focus manually. Bokeh is frankly not bad, but if you want creamy bokeh you really need f1.4 or 1.8. 35mm is not suitable for portraits anyway, 50-80mm are better for that. The 35mm lens is a great all round lens for city shots, some landscapes and travel. The lightweight lens weighs only 80 g. As far as I can tell it's all plastic apart from the flange where it connects to the case. There is no weather seal here. The lens cap is a bit odd, although Sony's 49mm cap fits well, so I'll use that instead. No hood included, thought there was a tiny item included. I guess I imagined it, I probably won't use it anyway. If I'm dissatisfied in the next few days, I'll update my rating. But I don't think I will. In short: it's comically small and downright charming. The image quality is very high compared to the price. Don't expect Zeiss image quality at this price point, although you won't be disappointed. I wish it had a slightly wider aperture, but that's a sacrifice you make for a tiny lens.
