After installation it does what it should.

I found it a bit difficult to connect this device to my laptop after installing it in my car. You need to go to the website and read the instructions carefully. Once the device is installed, connect it to your laptop via Bluetooth and then use the software to connect via serial instead of Bluetooth. Once I got through that, everything worked great. I was able to read and reset my error codes. You can see live results and troubleshoot other issues in real time, but I haven't used it in this capacity so I can't comment on how well it works. It seems that you could buy "better" software for better code interpretation, the basic software doesn't provide a very detailed explanation of the results. A little google search will give you what you need though. For the price I can't complain. I can travel and save money by going to the mechanic to find out why my check engine light is on.
