Review on LiftMaster 890max Mini Key Chain Garage Door Opener Remote: Compact and Stylish, Black with Gray Buttons by Tim Hull

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's good, but too good probably isn't great.

3 stars for the dumbest reason. It works too well, I bought this to add to my old garage opener, it worked great, no problem. The problems started later, the remote apparently has a crazy range near the BLOCK. And the buttons are very easy to press with buttons since it is a keychain model. Either because of the pressure in my pocket or my own weight because if I shake it vigorously, just right, it actually pushes the big button and opens the door. That seems like an odd complaint to make. It just works too well and the buttons are too easy to press. Build quality is excellent, it's still fine after throwing it in anger a few times. After being told the garage was open all night, he came home from work at 5:00 p.m. with the door open. Or last night when I got back to my truck and the door was half open because the remote activated twice quickly while I was somewhere in the house. I've tried it in my pocket, in my bag, on my keys, in the center console. Etc. The only place he lives successfully without outside activation is in a little corner under the radio in my Jeep Liberty. But since I bought it for transport between cars, I basically try to be very careful with it. I became 99% successful. But last night it happened again. Wish me luck.
