Works but requires a USB cable to power some/most devices.

Works, but only when USB is connected to an active power port. It is not mentioned in the product description and no USB cable is supplied, but without a USB connection it doesn't work for me. After that, it even works with a Mac laptop.

VGA TO HDMI: Easily converts HDMI digital audio/video signals to analog VGA video and stereo audio.
