Review on Amazon Basics Pink Household Tool Set - 150-Piece Kit with Storage Box by Chris Pettway

Good basic set but the handle is crooked and the color is wrong

This set contains many basic tools that will be useful for those moving into their first apartment or dorm. The tools aren't of the highest quality and aren't the best size for large hands, but they do the basic jobs often required in rented spaces. All tools work as they should. The spirit level is even, the hammer is a hammer, the tape measure doesn't stick, etc. I wouldn't recommend this tool kit for someone moving into their first home or wanting to do something serious with their hands to someone, but for hanging photos, furniture with their own Assemble hands and remove battery covers - this set is perfect. The only item not included in this set that I would like is a thorn finder. I would suggest ordering one at the same time. I have two complaints about this kit that prevent it from getting a higher score. First, product photos are misleading in terms of color. They have a beautiful turquoise color. The set looks more like sea foam and the hammer handle is a very different shade than the rest of the set. Now the color of your tools obviously doesn't affect functionality, but the biggest draw of this set seems to be the color. I wanted turquoise. I did not understand it. The second problem I have with this tool box is that the handle on the box is completely crooked. It's designed that way. The handle is closer to the back of the box, so when carrying it, it hangs crooked and the weight is unevenly distributed. I have no idea why they didn't center the handle and obviously it's not a heavy toolbox but it's still awkward to hold. Overall I'd say it's a good choice for those looking for a very basic tool kit. I wouldn't say it has everything you need and the box isn't well designed, but it will get you through the basics of your first year or two of renting. After that I would recommend a higher quality set.
