I purchased Avistar denture adhesive based on the rave reviews I found on Revain.com. Few people have given Avistar a 1 star rating. People said they stayed with Avistar all day. God I was disappointed. Not only because I bought 5 tubes of this material, but also because the Avistar denture adhesive failed miserably. I first used Avistar as soon as I received it, about two hours before lunch. I only have the tip but no teeth to touch. So I rely entirely on glue to hold the piece in place. Somewhere halfway to the sandwich, the piece came off completely and I had to take it out. Hit one. After lunch I applied the glue and partially renewed it. It was safe and 4 hours after the partial reinstall I was having lunch. Same result. Second Strike. The next morning I decided to install the part after breakfast and see what happens for lunch. Another part came off. Strike 3, I'm done with Avistar. It's time to return to Fixodent ULTRA. Last night I went to a banquet to have dinner. Around 4:00 p.m. I fitted my partial tooth with Fixodent Ultra. Dinner was at 7:00 p.m. We had a nice thick piece of roast beef. Everything went smoothly. Not a single problem. I got home around 10pm and my split was still safe. We had a great night. NO CONFUSION. I felt great. and happy how it went. Now I will use Fixodent ULTRA.
