Great alternative to tips. I did a lot of research on this as I was dying to change the silver to black to match my black rims. After a lot of research, it turned out that if you want strong grommets that won't scratch or rust, you'll need to spend about $100 for a set. Of course there are cheaper ones, but their durability is questionable. So for $25 you can replace the grommets with black ones and no one will notice they're closed. Looks great to me and has tremendous value. I haven't tried them yet, so I can't comment on that.
