Works fine; relatively sturdy

Not at all as sturdy as the one I finally wore out after 30 years of frequent use. Don't expect to mash anything not well cooked, but it works.

Is a gift. Not sure how it will be in the bowl. no potatoe masher is easy to clean unless you brush it, and it is oval not round like I expected, but very heavy duty and love the handle, will see how they like it.
