After buying a new car with cloth seats, the first thing I wanted to do was protect the seats but also make them look good. I tried the fabric cover but it looked very ugly as it stretched uncomfortably over the shape of the seat collecting lint and dust. I knew the only solution would be faux leather molded to fit. I looked at the user options and would have gone that route if there was no other option. The downside was that it would cost over $500. Is it worth protecting cloth seats? Depends on who you ask, but for me of course as I like to keep my cars for a long time. At the same time, I like to be very economical and careful with my money. I found this option for under $60 a pair. I had to replace the set on one due to uncomfortable stitching (the line wasn't straight which resulted in an odd crease), but other than that the case fit great. While I would also like full coverage on the sides, this design definitely has its merits. It is very easy to install and set up. The included plastic tabs allow the loop to be threaded through the center of the car seat, allowing it to sit without slipping off. I was also concerned about overheating or sweating due to the faux leather, but the perforations and internal foam made this not an issue most of the time. I was also concerned that faux leather is very cold in cold weather. However, it heats up quickly. I am very happy with this product and also bought a pair for my dad's car after he was impressed with the set. The only better option for me would be a full custom made set, so for the price there really isn't anything better.
