Review on πŸ”’ Nissan Genuine (48700-9N00B) Steering Lock: Durable Security for Enhanced Car Protection by Danny Porter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great, now there are two of these on the right.

The car didn't start. Yellow key icon shown, had it towed to the dealer and they wanted 775.00 pre tax to install this part and the part itself cost 650.00 of that amount. This part on Amazon is the exact same Nissan brand part. I've done it myself. Pull down the plastic under the steering wheel, the right side is lost, then look at the left side, there is a screw to remove, the plastic falls to the ground, but the wires are still connected. This part you are replacing is located just under the steering wheel. Release the white clip by squeezing and pulling the top clip. Great, now on the right side there are two breakaway screws on the right side. I read on a Nissan forum that you take a chisel and make an indentation to put a flat head in. It was very painful, I took a longer flat head and a hammer, tapped it pretty hard, I was able to knock it out. counterclockwise. As soon as they start spinning, they fall out with your finger. I then connected the new block, pushed it back into the hole, and rocked the wheel back and forth to make sure it was seated properly. I used both identical screws, just screwed in the opposite direction. If you're having trouble installing old stews, order them from the dealer for about $7 a screw. This unit works and is the same part, same brand as Nissan. Hope that helps. Many Thanks
