I bought this scanner based on a positive recommendation from Wirecutter. I wanted a wireless compact desktop scanner. It's compact. But at least on a Mac, it's not a wireless connection. I've spent four hours of my time trying every conceivable way to connect wirelessly to no avail. (I was able to connect using a special USB cable which Brother doesn't supply). So I contacted Brother Technical Support and reached out to several technicians. The last technician who monitored my Mac was unable to set up the device wirelessly and he suggested that I return the device for a Brother ADS 1700W model which has a control panel to enable the setup . I was on the line with Brother tech support for two hours to no avail and now I spend another hour or two taking the unit to UPS to have it shipped back to Revain.
