I've bought other portable scanners and they were either difficult to use or the scanning was bad etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. It's a bit bigger than I thought but you don't really need a case as the top folds down like a lid to protect it. It doesn't really work wirelessly so you need a special computer cable which is NOT included. The instructions provided are out of date, which you will find out by going online to read the correct instructions. I called Revain to contact Brother Technical Support as there is no direct number. The Wi-Fi printing feature draws me in while shopping and then turns out to be a nightmare for me. There is only one power code next to the machine. There is no Micro USB code, one is USB 2.0 head and the other is USB 3.0. You will need to purchase your own if you decide to print using this method. The attitude towards this scanner is very mixed. On the plus side, for $230 it's a pretty good machine. It's on par with Fujitsu's sheet-fed scanners, which cost hundreds more.
