Bought for the second time. Used on a trailered sailboat to keep lines and shrouds neat around the mast when the boat is being towed. A few ordered original kits stretched a bit. my fault Maximum stretch around the mast base where the jib and mainsail halyards are wrapped. 12 inches would be the best length to use. Others that just wrap the covers are fine. It seems to hold up well to the time of year when it's exposed to the elements. Inexpensive, makes life easier, more functional and more durable.
