In the end I feel I would be better off with a similar size torque wrench from Harbor Freight. I bought this electronic element because I believed it would emit a "digital beep" or noise when it reaches a preset electronic torque limit. When I didn't hear anything at first I thought the unit was defective until I reread the entire description and of course it's just an electronic display which might not be too bad when illuminated in dark areas where it's common a torque wrench is used under the hood. Anyway, the other issue is that I haven't felt the click or loosen that you get from other standard torque wrenches when it reaches the correct torque. To be honest with my first service on the timing belt, water pump, spark plug and other 105,000 operations on my car it wasn't the best approach. I ended up with traditional torque wrenches, which worked fine. We'll see how the return process goes and I'll do my best to update this review. I should have looked more closely for the digital-only version I had planned.
