My 1994 Chevy is equipped with Heavy Duty front springs (AC-Delco 45H1057). This coil spring compressor is too small for these springs which means the clamps will not quite fit the springs. I was able to get it to work but had to be very careful because the clamps could slip off the spring if they weren't perfectly aligned. I tested them on a set of regular springs (AC-Delco 45H1056) and the clips are secure and tight. Heavy spring wire has a larger diameter (0.89 inch) than regular spring wire (0.86 inch), which causes the problem. I gave 3 stars for "Security Features" for the reason above; They can slip when removing/installing heavy-duty springs, which is a safety issue. I gave 3 stars for "easy to use" as it is difficult to properly align and secure in the coil spring. However, this is a general problem with all spring compressors of this type and is not a specific defect of this brand.
