Review on πŸ”‹ DROK Voltage Amp Meter DC: Monitor Solar System Power with 0-300V 200A Capacity - Hall Sensor Voltmeter Ammeter Current Detector Panel by Doug Twilights

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good, inexpensive devices - tester

The device keeps what it promises. This is NOT a $100 gauge, so don't expect extreme accuracy. Volts and amps track what's being measured with a $500 Fluke meter. Since the current sensor is a hall effect sensor, you will get incorrect readings if the sensor is close to other live wires. This always applies to the Hall sensor. I'm seeing less than 0.1 amps with other wires carrying 10 amps. Because the sensor is bi-directional, you can see when power is added and when power is reduced for battery application. When used with other applications, you can see the same results. DO NOT EXCEED 200 amps, EVEN momentarily. Therefore it is recommended to keep the application current below 100 amps. People want to place this item on the starter wires. Even for a small starter, the current will be between 300 and 600 amps. Most likely, the product will fail forever. Use the product for low power applications such as solar panels, battery chargers or RV trailer DC usage. With proper wiring for DC systems for RV travel, charge currents, discharge currents, and battery status are easily seen.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
