Review on Linon Home Saddle Stool 29-Inch - Dark Brown: Sleek & Comfortable Seating Solution for Any Space by Katie Parker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

In short: a great value if you can successfully assemble it.

Very good price and most likely will suit me. However, two freezes caused me to deduct a star: 1. Assembly was a pain. Part of this comes from the instructions, which I found a bit misleading. Horizontal joists are attached with wood screws going diagonally into the legs at each end. The instructions say they can be screwed in by hand with a Phillips head screwdriver. Not for me. It was almost impossible to insert them by hand and set the joists flush with the legs. I started by stripping the screws and switched to an electric drill, which was more successful but resulted in a complete stripping of three screws. In addition, I could never fill out everything completely (e.g. see photo). But it seems good enough to me: sits evenly and looks solid when sitting on it.2. The seat is easy to mark. I found some noticeable marks/scratches from turning over on the wooden floor on part of the building. This is of course my shortcoming, but I was surprised at how many marks were left by just rubbing them on a smooth wooden floor. Tags should be easy to get, and I do 8 times out of 10, man, so not a huge issue here. In short: a great value if you can successfully assemble it.
