The product is not properly designed or manufactured. The material surrounding the port hubs is too thin for National Pipe Tapered Fuel (NPTF) fittings. Although the description states that these items are made with a NPT (National Pipe Thread) pipe fitting, they are not. It's not like NPTF and NPT are interchangeable. NPT (National Pipe Thread) requirements are specified in ANSI B1.20.1. NPTF (National Pipe Thread Fuel) requirements are specified in ANSI B1.20.3. Both NPT and NPTF have the same threads per inch, pitch diameter and taper per inch. The differences lie in the large and small diameters, the root and the crest of the thread. NPTF thread tips meet the NPT specification but have a smaller range than NPT. NPTF thread roots are different from NPT. filiform roots. NPTF thread roots are designed to intersect with the crest of mating threads to create a mechanical seal by deforming the shape of the threads during assembly. NPTF threads have two identified classes: Class 1 and Class 2. NPT thread bases are designed to provide clearance for mating threads during assembly. Either or the fact is both of these connections are tapered in design and any components designed with this style of pipe fittings must have the appropriate material surrounding the fitting lugs to resist cracking with the required tightening torque that is required , to ensure proper sealing the angle of the final assembly of fittings and adapters. This is related to the fact that when I originally posted this negative review I was contacted by the seller who very kindly asked me if I would remove my review if he would give me a full refund and he also promised to solve the above porting problems. Spring. I took her word for it and deleted my first review. I've waited as long as I wanted and the refund never came, so I think it's unlikely the porting issues were ever fixed or resolved. So be aware that the orifices in these lubricators and regulator filters are undersized and will rupture if not done at initial pressure on reassembly or after a few cycles of the pressure control switch.
