This is the one you can buy

I don't have a vanity table. I bought this to protect my license plate and specifically the extra annual license plate sticker they use in Pennsylvania which is often stolen by cutting off the corner of the license plate [because if you don't maintain your car insurance you won't get a new sticker] . This is actually a replacement for an identical cover I bought over ten years ago {IIRC 1993}. It got a little cloudy and scratched but was still clear enough to be legal. The real reason I just bought this replacement is because the old one broke slightly around one of the four screw holes when someone tried to steal my plate [unsuccessfully!]. I also recommend the Cruiser Locking Bolts #81230 [for private vehicles] [they use hex wrench bolts with a pin in the center of the hole so a regular hex wrench can't remove them]. My car only has two holes to attach the license plate to the car so I used two regular hex bolts in the other two holes with nuts to attach the cover to the license plate and the other two holes are used to fasten the plate and to attach the cover to my car. I should consider drilling the other two holes in the car because I don't think a thief could pry open the cover if all four corners are bolted to the car. This cover is much heavier [thicker] than most others I've seen [except for an identical Superior 25-5311 plate which is only slightly more expensive, my original was Superior, the main difference being the new plate is not the company have names cast in the rim and are not available in colors which is illegal in some states and my old Superior cover was made in the USA, I don't know if that is still the case].

Pros
  • License plate covers and frames
Cons
  • Minor problems
