Many problems

I am a trained artist, never mastered watercolor. I decided to challenge myself to explore this medium and wanted to use inexpensive materials for my first attempts. The cover of the pillow states that it is designed to withstand repeated washing and cleaning. Haven't tried cleaning yet, but I doubt I can with this paper. I have found that even a light, gentle wiping of the surface to remove excess ink quickly destroys the paper. scraps of paper lifted from the surface. As the paper dried, large, unattractive creases appeared on its surface. The next day I attempted the same composition on Strathmore Heavy Weight Cold Press watercolor paper using a similar technique. I have noticed that the colors get richer as they dry and the paper is smooth, even and wrinkle free when dry. In summary, Proart watercolor paper is great value, but for those planning on doing anything other than applying thin paint to a dry surface, I would recommend giving this product a pass.
