Review on π Curt 40047 RockerBall: Ultimate Cushion Hitch Trailer Ball - 7,500 lbs Capacity, 2-Inch Diameter, 1-Inch Shank by Richard Nonya
Malfunction. Broke during installation.
Wings that were to be installed on either side of the hitch ball mount flexed when torque was (properly) applied during installation. RockerBall is useless now. It is not on the axis of the car and is unsafe. Of course, the lock washer will bind and the nut won't loosen, so the ball hitch mount is useless as well. I have contacted Curt support for a replacement or refund and am awaiting a response from them. I will update this review if/when the issue is resolved.
- EASY INSTALLATION. This shock absorbing hitch ball mounts on a standard ball mount. The anti-rotation base slides onto a 2-1/2" ball tab. Ball Diameter - 2 in.
