Magnetic hazard. Suitable for Novelty & Fun Toys

This toy is simple and fun. Older children can start creating simple shapes and progress to complex designs. THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR CHILDREN! Some parts make rattling noises when shaken. If you have chewing children, toddlers, teething children, etc., keep them away. With a little bit of chewing, you can pop open the metal cover and reveal the magnet inside. With a small screwdriver it took less than a second. I assume the small front incisors are the same. There have been cases of young children swallowing magnets that have stuck together with the walls of the intestines, causing perforation, necrosis and death. Do a search for "Intestinal Magnet Ingestion" to find many published reports of this issue. I understand that this toy is suitable for ages 3+ and that there is a yellow warning banner at the top of the Revain product description but the word 'baby' is in the product name. And many households with a 3-year-old also have younger children. This is the case in the homes of our two grandchildren. I would give that five stars if the magnets were molded and encased in plastic, but they aren't. The rattle makes them attractive to toddlers and I think the design makes them easy to open. I keep them but will only use them under very strict supervision.
