Review on πŸš— Vehicle-Specific SCION TC Adjustable Rear Camber Arm (67487) by Specialty Products Company by Mike Devine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perhaps the best option for these cars.

Looks like good parts to me. The levers are made from pieces of stamped steel welded together rather than sheet steel like Toyota levers. All welds appear to be strong. Installation will require a broken rod about 15 inches long, a rod end socket wrench over 12 inches long, a variety of standard and deep 17mm hex sockets, a pry bar, a torque wrench, and a crescent wrench for the lock nut. Forget 12 point sockets, you will break them. A little lube to get your arms in place is probably not a bad idea. There's not enough room for an impact wrench, so forget it. I tried using a universal joint on the socket, but it was flexible and I couldn't get the socket to stay on the nut long enough to do anything. The instructions state that rotating the bar end 180 degrees gives a 0.2 degree change in camber. I rotated 720 degrees and got about a 3/4 degree change in camber, but my camber gauge has a bubble level with a scale that's not as accurate. I've seen aluminum adjustable control arms on these vehicles, but the manufacturer recommends replacing the threaded bushing every two years. The SPC levers are all steel, this is not necessary. They are for Scion tC Generation 2 and 2.5, from 2011 up to the year they discontinued Scions, I believe 2016. Generation 1 tC had different suspension and will not fit these vehicles.

Pros
  • Professional installers prefer the SPC brand
Cons
  • Lots of parts
