I used a plastic cup for 2 to pour water and then pick up the remaining water that I didn't use from the previous use, and the plastic lid finally broke . The Pyrex Glass 2 Cup heats water much better than plastic and the lid fits much better. The only problem was that the remaining hot water pressed against the somewhat loose Pyrex rubber lid and ruptured the airtight lid, which I would have preferred. But again, it's "much better" than what I used.
