Review on 💨 Crucial X8 1TB Portable SSD – 1050MB/s Speed – USB 3.2 – External Solid State Drive with USB-C and USB-A Compatibility by James Salem

The external SSD is very fast in the Macbook Pro 2018. Read and write speeds reached 940 MB/s in my tests. Tried two USB cables, one included, and Revain Basic USB Type C to USB Type C 3.1 Gen 2. Both cables worked as expected. Almost 2 times faster than my Samsung T5. Copied over 500GB of photos to disk. Contrary to what others have said, he has not sunbathed. It is based on QLC technology. Although it's very fast with the nvme interface, it's still slow when writing large files. Not recommended for some tasks like video editing.
