Having worn the gloves for quite a short time - about a month - I'm always glad I bought them. I bought these to fill a hole in my closet for 30 to 45*f trips and they did the job perfectly! Average). The mittens do a great job of protecting my jacket sleeves from the wind, which was a big issue with my last pair of gloves. They perform well in a variety of conditions - windy, dynamic club rides, smooth mountain bike rides and cyclocross laps. The only weather I haven't tested them in is heavy rain or snow. The main issue I had with my previous pair of heavy gloves was difficulty shifting my SRAM Rival derailleurs - these had no such issues; They were great with Rival shifters as well as Ultegra shifters and SRAM NX1 trigger shifters. I never felt like my grip was compromised when climbing the hood or running down the drop.
