These ACDelco shocks are the perfect replacement for the front shocks on a 2007 Avalanche. They are designed for the Autoride system on LTZ models and have an electronic damping function. They fit into the front shock spring/strut assembly. These shock absorbers are manufactured by BWI. It looks like ACDelco no longer makes these shocks and BWI is now their OEM supplier. During installation everything went together perfectly and there were no error codes on the truck's computer. If you want your autoride system to perform as intended, I think these are the only shocks that will do so. All other replacement shock absorbers bypass the autoride system. The Avalanche's ride and handling has improved significantly since installation. The truck has become much tighter and more supple; drives like new. The old shock absorbers were in poor condition and started to leak fluid. I'm not sure they have much "shock value" left.
