Received this just 2 days after I placed my order on June 6th, surprised. I took it to my mechanic to have it installed and he didn't think it would work as we couldn't see the connection at the top of the post. I came back a few hours later and he said it was no problem. I drove down the road and I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, but the ride seems smoother. Little did I know that I had already had one of the struts broken or leaking and with over 200,000 miles on my 2008 Escalade it certainly

Your Escalade will ride much better with these dampers.

The Shiki installed the same, the difference is huge. If your Escalade has clocked up over 70,000 miles, you will definitely want to replace your front shock absorbers. Both of my front shocks were fully inflated and covered in liquid/dirt. Before the update, the truck drove very hard, bouncing all over the road and causing back pain to the passengers. This was especially noticeable on concrete roads or highways. You will not regret buying these replacement parts. Not a bad install, the first…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Too much sugar for a dime, made in Mexico.

Left side worn or cracked internally after 15 months of occasional (not daily) driving. The BCM kept giving me a service suspend message and it stopped reading continuity with the multimeter on the terminal. Installed a 2 ohm resistor and deleted the BCM. Made in Mexico, mind you. I recommend using magnetic shock absorbers and just buy a Monroe shock or a Rancher replacement. When it worked properly, it worked great, but it wasn't worth the extra money and hassle of replacing them so often…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors

Exact replacement for Autoride shocks on LTZ

These ACDelco shocks are the perfect replacement for the front shocks on a 2007 Avalanche. They are designed for the Autoride system on LTZ models and have an electronic damping function. They fit into the front shock spring/strut assembly. These shock absorbers are manufactured by BWI. It looks like ACDelco no longer makes these shocks and BWI is now their OEM supplier. During installation everything went together perfectly and there were no error codes on the truck's computer. If you want…
