I highlighted the corners of the ceiling with a light color and this device helped me a lot. I made a 1.5" spacer out of wood (and felt it slides better) and I run the tape applicator pushing the spacer. It works great. I would give 5 stars if they wrapped the roll of tape in plastic. What was that? Are you saving on plastic? It is difficult to grasp the applicator without accidentally squeezing the roll of tape and preventing it from flowing. Getting started is also a bit fiddly. I have decided to use this tape but am having trouble starting it. When it finally started to peel off the roll, it was twice as thick - two layers of tape stuck together. I've only had this experience with tapes that are years old and starting to deteriorate. About 6 inches of tape came off the roll and "then broke".
