I use this on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, with the JScan and Torque Pro apps, running on a Google Pixel 5.I have used cheap little ELM adapters in the past, but was only ever able to use read-only functions. This adapter allows write functions, enabling me to change/reset settings among other things (usually determined by the app).Some things I have done with it and the JScan app:- updated tire size to correct auto trans shift points and speedo.- Scan and clear diagnostic codes in the ECU- Get rid of nag light for e-sway bar after removal.- Add/Remove various cabin and chassis modules for troubleshooting.- Recalibrate ABS Module settings- Reset transmission learning modes- Change TPMS thresholds- Confirmed function of wheel speed sensorsNotes:- I am able to connect to this adapter using both BT & BTLE. I have only ever had to pair this once. It auto connects to whatever app I'm using.- The app you use will determine what you can do with it.- Sometimes, multiple OBDII apps on the same device can fight over the connection to this adapter. Example is JScan and Torque Pro. JScan would drop connection immediately after connecting. Even though Torque wasn't running, it was attempting to connect in the background, despite having no special permissions. I had to uninstall Torque to clear this up.- I find that the adapter is a bit loose on my OBDII port. In a wrangler, it's not hard to vibrate enough to disconnect. If I don't see the red light, I usually have to tap it to reseat.- like others mentioned. The flashing lights can be a bit annoying. I used low-tech electrical tape to remedy.
