The tool looks pretty well put together, not cheap pins and a ridiculously thin plastic body. My problem and the reason for the three stars is that the whole purpose of this tool is to be able to easily copy the shape from one medium to another, but the pins on this tool are so MANDATORY that you have to use a lot of force, to get them to move into shape. For example, if you're copying sheet metal body panels or using them to match concrete sanding patterns, that's probably fine. But if you're using it to copy shapes in thinner stock, you'll have to use a lot of pressure to get the pins into place, risking ruining the original stock with the pin holes or even squeezing the original stock out of the shape. So you don't get a real copy. I sprayed some silicone spray on the pins and it worked, but they're still too tight. If I had to guess (I'll test this but haven't tried it yet), I'd say it takes a good ten pounds of pressure to form the pins, which is way too much for this type of tool. .
