I had problems with badly cracked heels and tried Vaseline in my socks at night but I was hot and took them off. They provided excellent breathability throughout the night and in the morning my cracked heels looked a million times better. If you're looking for a product that will soften your heels and start working on those dry, cracked spots right away, I'd recommend these. ETA: After wearing them for 3 days (and using a pumice stone in the shower in between) my heels look almost perfect. I'll attach a photo later. Before I started, my heels had huge cracks and a greyish tint. Now they are almost completely healed in just 3 days.
