I love these WOW water things from Melissa and Doug. I have a 3 year old son and he loves to paint and draw. This is good because I can give him a water pen and a book in places like a car, a restaurant, etc. and he can draw by himself without any help. Best of all, I don't have to worry about him inking something he shouldn't! I thought it was a bit pricey for only 4 sides but then I found out it can be reused! So it's absolutely worth the money. Each page is like a thick board. When the painting gets wet it will change color to match the finished color painting. As it dries, the color fades and returns to a colorless image. You don't choose the colors, the color image is already set. The pen is quite easy to use. You unscrew the plastic bottle attached to the brush and fill it with water, screw it back on, squeeze the top of the bottle until the brush is wet, and then give it to your child to go to town. My only complaint is that the brush can get weird over time. For example my son bangs the brush on the board and moves it around like any other brush, now it keeps that new broken look forever. Also, I find that over time the water in one of his brushes (he has a few water wows) overflows leaving a LOT of extra water on the page and I feel the need to blot the page when it's done.
