Worked great for adding a soundbar to my TV.
My TV didn't have an optical output, but that's what I needed for a soundbar. It was a great solution to my situation. Now I can provide a digital (optical) channel to get the best possible sound from my soundbar. I also use the 3.5mm output (along with a Bluetooth adapter) to watch TV through Bluetooth headphones and not disturb my wife in the bedroom.
