If noise doesn't bother you then I doubt your computer cares about its cooling capacity. This thing blows so hard that I disabled the draft fan across the way on the heatsink after the force of that fan blocked it. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the exhaust fan eventually breaks. IMPORTANT: This fan is rated for 2 amps. Some motherboards have 2 amp headers (usually for AIO/pump) but I bought a PWM splitter just in case. The PWM splitter allowed me to connect the fan to a 4-pin Molex connector and still get RPM readings and PWM control from the motherboard. I haven't found a PWM splitter that uses SATA (don't know if they exist), but you can always convert SATA to 4-pin Molex (with adapter). Be sure; check your loads. Also, anyone buying this should be mindful of the 38mm depth. I would put three of these on top of my radiator but due to the depth only one will fit. The included metal grille is nice to the touch and also important as this fan is mission critical. Finally, get ready to have some fun with fan curves in BIOS. I keep this setting below 35% as long as the CPU temp doesn't exceed 50. If you need powerful cooling, I would highly recommend this fan. and some headphones.
