This item is exactly what I needed. Tired of using doorstops, especially when they didn't work well against doors set too high and vinyl floors that didn't provide enough support in high winds. With them for a few days now. The two parts are solid. I like that there is a button on the receiver side that is easy to press to catch the doorstop. Yes, the magnet is very strong, I'm sure it will hold well even in very strong winds. I don't need this level of strength in my house so as other reviews have suggested I layered 3-4 layers of clear packing tape (which I have more than duct tape so I used that) and cut out a circle with it it fits into the depressed part of the receive button. This allowed me to adjust the strength of the magnet, which is very useful as I mount it with a 3M sticky pad and have no idea how long it will last if I run the magnet at full power. In addition, using masking tape muffles the click-in and click-out sound to a soft click. I really appreciate the extra 3M adhesive pads in the box because I ended up needing them. Easy installation as sticky is used. They are perfect for the details. As mentioned, the magnet is very strong and will likely be too strong for most people. I prefer it to be too strong so I can adjust the strength needed for different doors with layers of clear tape.
