Good telephoto as it is. The build quality is very good, it is compact and has a lens hood. I've been very happy with the image quality of this lens on my EOS M, but if you're thinking about it, make sure you know exactly what you're buying. This is a manual focus SLR (reflex) lens and has the same problems as other lenses of this type. Focusing isn't always easy, depth of field is very shallow, handheld photography can be tricky (preferably with a tripod), and a busy background creates the infamous "donut bokeh."
