Review on 🧽 Scotch-Brite 09646 Low Scratch Scour Sponge 3000Hex, Blue (16-Pack) by Dawn Miranda

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Removes well burned food from pans; Floor scratch, definitely not a scratch

This is a sponge with a cleaning pad on one side with raised hard plastic dots. The dishwashing pad is not very abrasive. Instead, the little plastic dots stick out a little, harden, and cling to the food. My husband has a habit of burning food on the bottom of pots and I must admit burnt food from pans. The dots are really good at catching the edges of the burned area where it's protruding and doesn't take much effort to remove even if a regular sanding pad wouldn't work. They advertise that the surface is designed in such a way that food cannot collect on it and can be rinsed off after cleaning. I thought that was right. After cleaning, there is less dirt on it than on ordinary scouring pads. The price is high but they are huge. Each is about the size of my palm (I'm a woman with small hands, but I can still bend my fingers and hide my whole hand behind one of those sponges). At Revain, they're about $3 each, but even a regular sponge that size costs over a dollar just for the size alone. It doesn't scratch today. Like, like, something like. I wouldn't use them in anything with a pretty leaf or even a particularly pretty plate from a thrift store. I won't even use them on my Correlle records. But of course for pots and pans. And they won't tear up the surface like steel wool would. So if you need to remove hard water buildup from a dishwasher or whatever, then these scrubbers can be a good combination of efficiency and reduced risk of scratching.
