I've read conflicting reviews so didn't want to drop the replacement part just for it to shatter the metal. I checked it for fit and lowered the shaft a few inches and then raised it again until it clicked. Not sure if it fully raises the spare without spitting out the ends, but the important thing is that it lowers, which is what you need in a pinch until you get a new tire. Everything seems to be done well, I couldn't test the key because the cleats are embedded in my wheels and it doesn't work. I had to purchase the deep seat and brake bar separately, but that's not the product's fault, it's the way my wheels are made. Overall it seems solid for the money and is identical to those that cost a lot more so save your money and buy this one. 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4
