Review on ASUS VP229HE: The Ultimate 21.5" HD Monitor with Adaptive Sync, Frameless Design, and Blue Light Filter by Joseph Gardner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great quality at a great price.

I bought two 21.5" Asus V228H monitors for my desktop PC. I bought two of these to set up a dual monitor display for better performance and I've been using them for about three months now. Visual display: I have found that the best visual display for this monitor is via the DVI and/or HDMI connections.. I would not recommend using the VGA connection on this monitor as it is a noticeable bottleneck in the visual performance of modern computers -GPUs (GPUs).You'll also get full 1080p resolution gaming at around 40-60 fps with DVI and/or HDMI.In addition to the VGA input bottleneck, the monitor offers a crisp picture and superior HD video graphics. I was able to watch YouTube videos and play games without any crashes or blurring Buttons: The buttons on this monitor are easily accessible as they are located just below the screen, and there are small images above the buttons er that show the function of the individual buttons. Along with the menus, on-screen instructions guide you through the monitor's visual options. I find these features very useful as some monitors I've had in the past had hard-to-reach buttons and confusing menu layouts. Structure and flexibility: The monitor is made of hard plastic. The metal is used under the base monitor stand. The smooth black and reflective look of the plastic is a neat design. In terms of flexibility, the screen cannot be rotated without moving the base. This can make it difficult to fix tearing on a dual monitor display. If you want to perfectly close the gap between two monitors, you should buy a dual monitor stand. In addition, the monitor is visually appealing and has a solid basic design. Visual Modes: In the menu options, the monitor offers different modes for specific situations. Various modes: landscape, standard, theater, night vision and game mode. Each mode optimizes the display for a specific situation. For example, the night vision mode dims the display to protect the eyes. I found these modes useful as they prevent eyestrain. Overall I am very happy with my purchase in terms of value for money. You really get the best bang for your buck with this monitor and I highly recommend it. Whether you're surfing the web or playing serious graphical PC games, this monitor really delivers quality performance and is built to last.
