Review on ASUS VP229HE: The Ultimate 21.5" HD Monitor with Adaptive Sync, Frameless Design, and Blue Light Filter by Carlos Millions

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor for the money

While a fast processor and plenty of RAM and hard drive space are important, the monitor is arguably the most important part of any computer system. After all, you'll be staring at the screen almost all of the time you're using your computer. About a week ago, I received the ASUS VS228H-P Full-HD 22" LCD monitor for review, and after fixing a quirk, I quickly realized that I really like this monitor! Let me tell you about his first Quirky telling. As with most modern LCD monitors this one comes with the highest possible brightness from the factory.I believe they do this so that if the monitor ends up on a shelf in a large store it will compare to others on the shelf appears bright and clear. While the super bright screen was a bit annoying at first, I was able to quickly get it to the right level in the monitor settings. Problem solved. Now for what I really like about the ASUS VS228H-P... First of all, it is the brightness already mentioned. If you like a bright and crisp screen, trust me, this monitor is for you! What follows is sharp, crisp text and vibrant colors. If you like ic If you read and/or write a lot, you'll love that this monitor is so easy on the eyes. Focus and sharpness are incredible. And if you shoot a lot, you'll likely find that the colors are vibrant and fairly accurate right out of the box. Specifications are good too. You get Full HD video at 1920 x 1080p and support for VGA, DVI-D and HDMI connections. VGA and DVI cables are included, but you'll have to shell out a few extra bucks for an HDMI cable if you want to go that route (which I did). Reading some of the other reviews of this monitor on Revain, I noticed that some users find the monitor stand a little flimsy. It's possible the specific devices they reviewed had different stands, but I found the one on my monitor to be pretty stable. It can be one of those things that gets "corrected" over time thanks to customer feedback. Conclusion: Overall, I like this monitor very much. To be honest I don't think you can beat it for just a hundred bucks!
