Review on Adorable Amigurumi Knits: 20 Miniature Patterns for Cute Creations by Kristen Simpson

I'm interested in knitted amigurumi because they're quick to digest (I get bored easily), it's a great way to learn new techniques or brush up on others, and then I'm interested in a stuffed animal show my efforts. However, there are a variety of other books about amigurumi on the market. I can sort out most of them because many of them are crochet or too simple and cute for my liking. Then I stumbled across this book, saw the creatures on the cover and got my hands on it asap. This is a very versatile set of projects that doesn't disappoint, running the gamut from relatively simple to detailed. For you lovers of still lifes, backyard creatures, sea creatures, and most importantly, a small selection of cryptids (cryptozoological creatures), there are some lovely veggies. I hope this isn't a spoiler, but I would buy the book just for the Jackalope. The instructions are well written with lots of helpful photos. I am absolutely amazed by the competence and ingenuity of the author. Sea creatures and especially a small assortment of cryptids (cryptozoological creatures) make for some lovely veggies.
