This hotspot has all the basic features you need for a business Wi-Fi hotspot - multiple SSIDs, a/b /g/n 2.4 and 5 GHz support, VLAN and PoE. We have used several of these chains in restaurants and they work well. Strategically placed, they easily cover a restaurant area of around 6,000 square meters. Feet with an access point. They work well with Netgear FS-726-TP switches and consume less than 8W of power. The VLAN also works well with the Netgear switch and pfSense router, which means the VLAN implementation is almost complete. I also tested it with a dual-mode implementation with simultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz connections. With an iPad and SpeedTest.net I could actually see a noticeable increase in throughput when using dual mode instead of 2.4 or 5 GHz. it sits next to a wall outlet, so you can't completely hide the cables like you can with other PoE access points. The user interface is not very intuitive, which required frequent references to the manual. However, if you know what to look out for, you can eventually customize it to suit your needs. In short: this is a competent commercial hotspot at a decent price and we will be buying more of it.
