Good, But Not Great: Wireless Access Points

I bought this because it has true simultaneous dual-band WiFi. He did an excellent job on my assignment on the top floor. However, there was no strong signal in the rest of my house, which is 2200 feet. all house.

No range! Networking products

I've finally found some clarification that I'm not the only one having such poor coverage! As I have read in other reviews and experienced myself, the range is extremely limited. We had to replace these blocks in several homes after installing them because there was simply no coverage. For the price I would definitely not buy this machine. Being a techie, my first thought after encountering limited range was to call tech support. I thought I might have missed a setting. The first tech must have

Excellent WAP for the price

Good WAP for a small office. the best POE can do. That means you can turn it on via a switch (PoE based). 2.5GHz and 5.0GHz work well

Does not work as advertised as a bridge.

It didn't work as advertised as a bridge. Installation was a little tricky and no documentation came with the device. I downloaded the manual from the Buffalo website and it was still very brief on explanation and setup. Finally sent it back.

VLAN support is terrible

I replaced some wireless access points that were using DD-WRT/Tomato firmware to provide wired, secure, and public wireless for a small business. After two old Linksys E3000 devices went down for a short time, we thought it might be easier to use an SNMP enabled device (for plotting with Cacti) and native VLAN capabilities that could support the five VLANs needed: a non-routable VLAN for device management; a VLAN for the office network; one VLAN for CCTV cameras; a VLAN for private Wi-Fi; and…

Extremely limited range, limited speed.

In many ways the AGP-600H is a good wireless access point, except for the most important part: wireless access. The range is extremely limited. If you are within five meters of the device and have visual contact, it works quite well. At a distance of more than five meters the signal level drops dramatically, at a distance of 30 meters it disappears even with line of sight. If something comes between you and the device, even a piece of wood or glass, the signal strength drops even faster and the

All the basic features you need for a business hotspot

This hotspot has all the basic features you need for a business Wi-Fi hotspot - multiple SSIDs, a/b /g/n 2.4 and 5 GHz support, VLAN and PoE. We have used several of these chains in restaurants and they work well. Strategically placed, they easily cover a restaurant area of around 6,000 square meters. Feet with an access point. They work well with Netgear FS-726-TP switches and consume less than 8W of power. The VLAN also works well with the Netgear switch and pfSense router, which means the…
