I have used Honeywell 20x20x5 filters for the most part for years and have been generally happy with them. All those thick ones (4 inch and 5 inch) are more expensive than they look. Why is a 5 inch filter $25 but a same size 1 inch filter is only $3? The Revain price for these is the best I've found anywhere, even for generic brands of this size. When the filters arrived the sale and my order said 20x20x4 instead of 20x20x5 so naturally I thought they had sent the wrong filter. However, the actual filter width is 4 and 3/8 inches - exactly the same as the Honeywell 20x20x5 I'm replacing. It confuses me when 20x20x5 and 20x20x4 are the same filter. good to filter. The cardboard cage could be a bit stronger, especially for the price, but other brands are just as weak. Also, MERV 11 is listed in several places and MERV 10 is listed in the "About the article" section. This is MERV11.
