This product is not made of a smooth metal as the pictures seem to show but a rougher, almost textured surface and it does NOT slide open easily. It is a metal notch in a metal slot, and it sticks and opens with difficulty. It takes two hands to steady it to pull out a drawer, otherwise, the whole thing slides forward. That might not be an issue if it's to be used inside a cabinet with a lip, but for flat cabinets or for use on a counter, it's difficult to use and I do not recommend. It is also trickier to assemble than some I've put together.
