I have a 600 foot dock with boards attached with nails and/or screws. Many years of sun and surf, they all work for nothing. NOT THESE SPAKS! Tough as nails (literally) with excellent holding power and I don't have to smash my stuff with a hammer to install it. Precise placement, precise torque, secure grip; I will never use any other fasteners for engineering applications. I chew two to three sticks of T-30 per carton of 50, but SPAX almost never strips. exactly what i need.
