It makes straight lines
compared to another square for perpendicularity and I'm pretty sure this one is the culprit. But to be sure I need to buy a square now to make sure my squares are square. *sigh* It looks good and for normal work it does exactly what I need and doesn't really need to be perfect. You just need to have another name for "nearly perfect squares" for expectations to be set correctly.
