Eh, I'm only giving 3 stars because the "wings" don't fold at all like most other styles make this easy. they only emerge horizontally and can therefore only shine vertically downwards. While they fold "inward" I really see no point or why anyone would ever fold them inward. but that's just me However, it is significantly brighter than a single bulb in the garage ceiling. However, in the future I would go for one of the designs where the light wings fold up so that the light is spread more evenly along the walls instead of just straight down. very disappointed in that regard because when you measure it it actually puts out LESS light than a regular incandescent bulb (which shines up and out, not just down).
